So anyway, I often wonder what it would be like to have a soundtrack to my life. You know, music playing in the background like on TV or in movies. I can't help but giggle every time I hear Il Barbieri di Siviglia, recalling the famous episode of TheBugs Bunny Show that used the well known classical track. And every time I go to the beach and take a dip in the ocean, somewhere in the back of my head I am waiting for the theme from JAWS to start playing, and I promptly decide it is much safer on sand. Of course, given my life and the often crazy and totally unpredictable things that happen, I'd be more likely to have 'I kissed a Girl' by Katy Perry play after I finally broke down and gave a dear friend of mine a smooch for her 4oth birthday. (Sidebar: We've known each other for years and she's always laughed at the fact that I have never so much as kissed a female, 100% homo here.) I can imagine driving around Midtown on a sunny afternoon with the WeatherGirls serenading my every move (bonus points if you know what song I'm talking about; it's not that difficult!). Or 'Crazy Possessive' by Kaci Battaglia playing when I have to kill someone for hitting on my boyfriend even though they know he's taken. Oddly enough, I have a feeling that Rob Zombie and Nine Inch Nails (and yes, this one is exactly the song you are thinking about!) would play a much larger portion of the soundtrack than expected.
Now, if anyone needs me, I'll be searching iTunes for something to play in the background for a rather unpleasant meeting I will be having later this week. Perhaps something from The Trammps (last chance to take a guess which song!)....
